In the Greek world, often a single word encapsulates a philosophical synthesis that evokes hidden truths, existential experiences, or moods. Words that can serve as keys to knowledge and open the doors to immeasurable dimensions.
The term “Phýsis” over time has encountered various interpretations, starting from the era of Homer. We have chosen the meaning of the “nature of Things” in perpetual becoming, a kind of religion (from the original etymology indicating a bond, care, and extreme attention) of form (in this case, faces and bodies) in its diverse manifestations.
The artists we have invited have interpreted this meaning through works that immerse us in the wonder of life that sprouts and changes, of which the human being is the most complete intelligent manifestation.
“Phýsis” is Aristotle’s downward gesture in Raphael’s “School of Athens,” which signifies the pursuit of the ultimate Truth in all real forms animated by the eternal principle.
